Public Service Commission has dispatched a delegation to the 5th General Assembly of the Africa Association of Public Services Commissions (AAPSCOM) in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Commissioner Catherine Omweno is leading five officials to the three days event that begins on 13th to 15th March 2018.
The conference was officially opened by South Africa’s Minister for Public Service and Administration Ms Ayanda Dlodlo. This year’s theme focusses on building and strengthening the capacity of Public Service Commissions to meet the challenges of public administration and service delivery in Africa.
The purpose of AAPSCOM is to collaborate, share experiences and best practices among Public Services Commissions in order to promote good governance and improve service delivery in Africa.
Commissioner Omweno is accompanied by Deputy Commission Secretary Mr Simon Rotich, acting Director of Human Resource Management and Development Ms Joan Machayo and Head of Research Dr Sylvestre Obong’o among others.
