Examination

The department is charged with the responsibility of administering promotional examinations to the following cadres, administrative officers, clerical officers, telephone operators and weights and measures assistants.

The objectives of the examinations are to;

• Determine an officers' suitability for promotion to the next grade as stipulated in the scheme of service;
• Assess the officers' knowledge, skills and experience gained in the course of their duties, and
• Evaluate the current estimated potential of the officer to shoulder higher responsibilities.

The department is also charged with the responsibilty of reviewing training curricular of the various cadres in liason with other stakeholders to make them current and relevant.
