Mr. Andrew Ndambiri Muriuki was appointed as a commissioner in the Public Service Commission on 10th January 2019. He has over 17 years of progressive experience in sustainable resource planning and management in the public sector, mainly in institutions of higher learning. He also has broad experience in the functional areas of human resource, administration, procurement, finance, supply chain and property management.
Prior to joining the Commission, Commissioner Muriuki was the Registrar (Administration & Finance) at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Nyeri. He also served in various positions at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, rising through the ranks from Management Trainee to the position of Senior Assistant Registrar.
Commissioner Muriuki has hands-on experience in corporate governance, having been a Member of the National Standards Council of the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the Institute of Directors of Kenya. He has attended numerous professional and career development courses in management, procurement, finance, project planning, labour relations and corporate governance, locally and abroad.
Commissioner Muriuki holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom; National Diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management; and Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyatta University.
