PSC Commissioner Amb. Patrick Wamoto today underscored the importance of the public service in the development of any country.
"Public Service is the cornerstone of any government program and work, especially in a developmental state like ours. The value of public service cannot be gainsaid. We're at the center of every activity of the government,” he said.
He was speaking on KTN News at 1.00 about the Public Service Day that is celebrated internationally on 23rd June every year.
The commissioner pointed out the successes and different programs that the Public Service Commission is undertaking to better service delivery.
He said that despite the challenges resulting from the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Commission became innovative, a move that allowed PSC to operate smoothly even when majority of government services were heavily affected.
