The Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairperson Amb. Anthony Muchiri has urged the National Assembly’s Labour Committee to prioritise funding of Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) trainers’ recruitment mandate that was transferred from the Ministry of Education To PSC.
Speaking during the 2023 Budget Policy Statement presentation to the Committee on 27th Feb 2023 at a hotel in Nairobi, PSC Chair said that once the TVETS institutions have enough trainers, the youth will primarily benefit by acquiring technical skills and self-employ themselves.
Present during the meeting were, the committee Chairperson Hon. Eric Muchangi, committee members, Deputy Commission Secretary Mr. Remmy Mulati, PSC Director of Finance Mr. Njoroge Maina, Assistant Directors of Finance Mr. Njalale Simiyu , Nelson Mithamo and Assistant Director office of the Chairperson Mr. Mustafa Ibrahim.
