The inaugural cohort of recently recruited 3,100 graduates under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) was commissioned on Wednesday 9th October 2019.
The interns who are undergoing induction at Kasarani Sports Gymnasium up to Friday 11th October will be deployed to various Ministries, Departments, Agencies (MDAs) and State Corporations for one year internship. PSIP is one of government's programmes targeting youths for empowerment, and is championed by Public Service Commission.
The ceremony was presided over by the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Prof. Margaret Kobia.
Present during the Ceremony were Cabinet Secretaries Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage Amb. Amina Mohammed and her Foreign Affairs counterpart Amb. Monica Juma.
Others were, PSC Chairman Mr. Stephen Kirogo, Vice Chairperson Ms. Charity Kisotu, PSC Commissioners, PSC CEO Mr.Simon Rotich, PSC directors and representatives from varous MDAs and State Corporations.
Hon. MP Edward Oku Kaunya, a member of the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security was also present.
