Public Service Internship Programme
The Public Service Internship Programme is a government initiative to offer opportunities for college graduates to acquire and develop valuable technical and professional skills while gaining work experience. The Commission first rolled out the programme in the financial year 2019/2020 with budgetary funding from the exchequer.
Objectives of the Programme
- Enhance youth development and employability by creating clear linkages between education, training and work.
- Provide hands-on experience to build upon skills learned in the classroom and give them a competitive edge in the job market.
- Indoctrinate the interns on public service etiquette, values and ethics.
- Establish a database of skills available to the public service for future HR needs.
- Promote inclusivity, diversity as envisaged in the Constitution.
- Offer the youth financial incentives through payment of a stipend, and expose them to possibilities of entrepreneurship.

Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship Programme
The Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship Programme (PSELF) is an initiative of the Public Service Commission developed in partnership with Emerging Public Leaders (EPL), a Washington DC based public sector leadership development organization, and Emerging Leaders Foundation-Africa (EFL-A). Chandler Institute of Governance-CIG (Singapore) is the curriculum developer.
Objectives of the Programme
- Build the next generation of public-sector leaders capable of providing transformative solutions to pressing policy issues affecting the public service.
- Close the gap in capacity building and ground public servants in strong citizen-centric ethos.

Public Service Leadership Development Programme
The Public Service Leadership Development is a high-level public service and government leadership fellowship programme. The programme targets to train and nurture public servants who will take the leadership at the highest level of public service.
Objectives of the Programme
- Identify young leaders with potential for next generation public service leadership.
- Train and develop the capacity of emerging leaders for government and public service.
- Place Leadership Fellows into mentorship and learning opportunities within senior ministerial government offices.
- Support the professional growth of the Fellows and their transition from potential to leadership.
