Public Service Commission has officially launched a new Ai-based website that is more interactive and user-friendly. Speaking during the Launch, PSC Chairman Amb. Anthony Muchiri noted that the new website is user-centric and will foster easy access to Commission key services. The brief-launch event took place today 13th September 2024, at the Commission House.

“Incorporation of Ai technology, modern day user-friendly features will make it easy for the citizens to interact with the Commission,” said Amb. Muchiri.

The PSC Chairperson also acknowledged the partnership between Commission and Mozilla Corporation terming it strategic and timely.

“Mozilla Corporation partnership is critical and I believe we will continue having more engagements going forward considering the dynamic nature of the technological world,” he said.

In addition, Mr. Muchiri emphasised on the need for the Commission and government institutions to stay ahead of the pack in embracing new technologies as they emerge.

The President Mozilla Foundation Ms. Mitchell Baker, who was the chief guest at the event, reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment in creating more opportunities for youths through the open-source technology.

“Open-source technology creates more avenues for young people to innovate solutions and make an impact in their lives and society at large,” said Ms. Baker.

She further highlighted that Mozilla Corporation is open to further collaborations with the Public Service Commission.

The new PSC website was a partnership project between the Commission, Mozilla Corporation and Peak and Dale Solutions. PSC and Mozzilla are also running other projects that include capacity building of data handlers in the public service.

The brief PSC website launch was also attended by  Senior Director, International Strategy, Trust & Safety Mozilla Corporation Ms. Alice Munyua, Chief Executive officer (CEO) Peak and Dale solutions Ms. Brendah Mwirichia.

Others from PSC were Commissioner Andrew Muriuki,  Commission Secretary/CEO Paul Famba, DCS Remmy Mulati, Director Finance and Resource Mobilization Maina Njoroge and members of PSC secretariat.
