Public Service Commission (PSC) Amb. Anthony Muchiri has pledged to work with Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) to develop a unified framework for human resource management, remuneration as well as managing the wage bill.
Addressing members of both commissions during a consultative meeting hosted by the Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Amb. Muchiri reiterated the need to have a collaborative approach in dispensing Public Service issues. The meeting was held at the Bomas of Kenya on 25th February 2025.
“PSC is always open to collaborations with SRC and other government agencies to ensure public servants are motivated to deliver quality service to our citizens, ” said Amb. Muchiri.
On his part the head of public service underscore the need for the two commissions to work together in ensuring smooth management of human resource issues in the public service.
“ I urge the two commissions to work together and by all means ensure they deliver on their constitutional mandates. However, there is need to work together and be a good example to other independent commissions and offices, said Mr. Koskei.
From the engagement it was agreed that SRC and PSC will form working task teams to foster collaboration and iron out issues affecting public servants as well as find an amicable solution for managing the growing wage bill.
Also present were; Public Service Principal Secretary Amos Gathecha, respective Vice Chairpersons Commissioners and senior Secretariat staff of the two commissions.
